Found this query on Ancestry.com someone is looking for more info for the Descendants of Edward Bourassa. Don't know who this Louis is but he married Marceline Bourassa about 1925. The dates are about the same for Louis Gerbic of San Antonio, TX and his older sister's name is Marcolena pretty close to Marceline. But the Louis in Texas was married to Evelyn and didn't live in Missouri. Don't know if they are two different people or the same with a confused inquirer?

Robert Gerbic (`1892) Bingham, Utah; son Mike (Midvale, Utah); grandson Stephen Michael Gerbic (Seattle, WA) Mike Gerbic last residence 84047 Midvale, Salt Lake, Utah. Born August 11, 1918. Died March 13, 2005. Probably son of Robert Gerbic above. According to an obit in the Salt Lake newspaper that Mike is the son of Bude and Staka Gerbich. I received some Ellis Island "certificates" from Mike Gerbic in 1997. I don't know how much credit to give this "official certificate of registration" as it doesn't explain how they know that this is the correct parents, nor does it list a boat or a day of arrival. It states that Bude Gerbich and Staka Zjaca Gerbich came to America from Yugoslavia. That is pretty vague. We also know that most if not all of us Gerbics were not using that name before coming to America. Here lies my most serious problem. Anyway, the obit information is worth listing here, he and his descendants are using the name Gerbic and we may run into them again.
