GERBIC, Charles Christopher Chuck Jr. Of Novato passed away June 17, 2002
after a short illness. Chuck is survived by his devoted mother Carole Gerbic;
loving brothers David Gerbic and Jeffrey Gerbic; fiancé Katherine Russo; Aunt
and Uncle Gail and David Bowyer; cousins Patricia Courtney, Diane Solbach, and
Ellen Wallau; and will be dearly missed by many friends. He was preceded in
death by his father Charles Gerbic and his grandparents Fabien P. and Mary E.
Miron. Chuck was born on December 9, 1958 and was a lifelong resident of Marin
County. He graduated from Sir Francis Drake High School and the University of
San Francisco. An accountant and company controller by profession, Chuck also
was an avid sports fan, who especially enjoyed baseball, fishing, boating,
waterskiing and car races. Private family services were held. Memorial
contributions are preferred to the Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Dr., Corte

Thank you for the fine article about Kevin Calabro (Seattle Times, May 29). I couldn't stand the sub-Sonics when I lived there in Hooterville, but Calabro was always a pleasure to listen to. I wonder, in how many other cities, would Calabro feel compelled to drop the "Ray-Gun" reference? Only in whacked-out, liberal Seattle.
